Sat on they runway last night for over an hour in a hot, broken down C-17. They finally sent us back into the terminal at 10:00 p.m. and said it would be a couple of hours. We called a family meeting and asked them to give us our luggage and we called our friend Horace to come get us and take us to a hotel.
Got up this morning and took the shuttle to the airport to either get a car home or a flight out. Got a flight out through Charlotte so we are sitting in the airport waiting to board an 8-hour flight to Franfurt. Katja is beyond excited. Talked to her over the internet while waiting on our flight.
Will report in tomorrow night. Who knows where we will be!!

well i hate that ya'll have had such lousy luck getting to ramstein but i completely understand how that can be. These things can be quite the pain some time, lol. I missed my flight from ramstein trying to get back home after the crew had guarantied me a seat on the plane; the staff at ramstein just didn't have their stuff together. Any how I hope ya'll have a wonderful time in Germany, its a beautiful place to be. Take care and enjoy!!
